Who are Most people? Siv Jensen (leader of very conservative and reactionary Norwegian party ironically called “Fremskrittspartiet”/Frp./”The Progress Party”) has apparently decided that women are also most people. Her speech seemed to come as a surprise to the mostly male dominated party convention. Personally I’ve joined the facebook group “Folk flest mot Frp“/”Most people against Frp”.
But am I “Most people”? This is the result after looking at some numbers from SSB (Statistics Norway). These numbers are all based on Norway, so the result might have been different if I lived somewhere else.
- Most people are apparently heterosexual. I’m not.
Most people are not overweight. I am.
Most people don’t smoke. Neither do I.
Most people are not on social security. Neither am I.
Most people are law-obedient. So am I.
Most people don’t have higher education. I do.
Most people uses/goes to different forms of cultural institutions. So do I.
Most people are online on a daily basis. So am I.
Most people don’t read books. I do.
Most people uses bokmål. I don’t. (Weird Norwegian language thing. I’m one of the minority nynorsk people)
Most people belong to some kind of religious organization. I don’t.
Most people believe in some kind of god(s) (but fewer than the ones belonging to religious organizations…). I’m an atheist.
Most people work full time. So do I.
Most people don’t play golf. I do. (And I’m a Rules Official. We’re really rare!)
Most people don’t blog. I do.
Som far I don’t seem to be “Most people”. And to be honest both Kristin and I am pleased with that.
How about you? Are you most people
