Saturday Snapshot – Sold!

This summer quite a few major things happened in our lives. Two of them were: we moved and I changed jobs. One of the results of these changes were that we no longer needed two cars. Yay!

Yesterday we sold it to a nice, young couple working at the university. I hope they’ll have some good years with it before it gets too old.

Sold! - it served me well for several years, but now it was time for our ways to part.

Saturday snapshotThis meme is hosted by Alyce from At Home With Books

To participate in Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken. Photos can be old or new, and can be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. All Alyce asks is that you don’t post random photos that you find online.

  1. It’s fun selling a car to someone who you know will appreciate it. We had a Ford Escort some years ago, and we sold it to a university student as her ‘first car’ – she was over the moon! I hope she got as much use and fun out of driving it as we did.

  2. Congratulations! We are trying to sell one of our cars but every time my husband is about to put the for sale sign on, something goes wrong…aargh!

  3. You took really good care of it. I bet the young couple will enjoy it a lot! Love a silver car.

  4. Wow, that car looks amazing! Mine is only five years old and has a few dings in it….sigh.

Thanks for sharing. Love your new blog header!

  5. I feel for the couple trying to find a good used car, since we just went through that. Buying a car is tough. Lucky couple who got your well-treated vehicle. Here’s Mine

  6. I’d love to be able to go without a car!

  7. It’s always nice to be able to simplify life!

  8. Having only one car is surprisingly liberating. We had only one for three-and-a-half years. We did eventually get a second car again recently, and I feel sort of disappointed in us. Convenience won out 😦

  9. We talk about this (1) car household since my husband is retired, but I’m not ready for (1) car. Hope the new people have good luck; looks like a good car.

  10. It’s nice to not have to worry about two cars. I’m glad someone who appreciates it bought it.

  11. I wish I lived where they rode bikes everywhere instead of driving cars! I’d sell my car in a second!

  12. Looks like it’s in great shape. I’d say that couple got a good car!

    Here’s my Snapshot:

  13. I would go crazy without my car! But I’m glad you found your old one a good home.

    My Snapshot is here.

  14. That’s a cute little car. I’d be sad to lose it but if it went to a good home I could deal with that. Would be nice not to have the expense of a second car but where I live everything is so spread out we can’t walk to very many places.

  15. It amazes me how attached I get to cars that I’ve had for any length of time. 🙂 I’m glad the move has worked out well for you.
